FAQ & house rules

Everything you need to know about drilling with DrillPass — and the simple rules that keep it fair for everyone.

Getting started

DrillPass is a monthly subscription that lets you walk into participating pickleball courts and use empty, unbooked courts strictly for drilling and practice. One flat fee of RM149/month gives you unlimited walk-in access across 20+ partner courts in KL & Selangor.

RM149 per month for the Driller plan — our single, no-nonsense tier. No contracts, no joining fee, cancel anytime.

Open the app to find a court showing open space, head there, and scan the DrillPass QR code located at the front desk. Staff verify your identity against your member profile, and you're cleared to drill.

Playing & the rules

No — DrillPass is strictly walk-in only. You can only claim a court that is visibly empty and unbooked. This is what keeps the model fair to the court's paying customers.

Paying customers always come first. If a regular books the court you're on — even last minute — you'll be asked to vacate immediately. There's usually another open court nearby; the app shows you where.

No. DrillPass is for drilling and practice only — no competitive scoring or matches. This "no score, no serve" rule prevents DrillPass from cannibalising courts' regular bookings. If you want a real game, just book a court at the standard rate.

Each check-in counts as a 2-hour "soft" session. Courts won't aggressively clock-watch, but the limit exists so no one camps on a court all day.

Yes. If several DrillPass members want to share a court and drill together, they can — there are no strict headcount limits to police. Each member still checks in individually.

To protect courts with hall-wide lighting, members can only check in when the facility is already open and operating. For courts with per-court lighting, the court may require a minimum of 4 members already drilling before opening a new court. If you're happy to use ambient daylight, that threshold doesn't apply.

Equipment & account

Yes — bring your own paddle and balls. If you'd like a ball machine, you can rent one directly from the partner court at their standard rate (typically RM25–40).

No. Because the QR check-in sits at the front desk, staff can confirm the person scanning matches the member profile. Account sharing breaks the rules and results in a strike.

Members who break the rules — refusing to vacate for a paying customer, playing competitive matches, or sharing accounts — receive one warning. A second offence results in a lifetime ban from the platform.

Yes. In your dashboard settings you can link your DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) account to track how your rating improves as you put in the drilling reps.

For court owners

DrillPass operates a revenue-share pool. 90% of subscription revenue is distributed to partner courts based on member check-ins, paid out monthly. In a full network this works out to roughly RM16.76 per check-in. See the full math →
